Tutor or Mentor
Because providing only financial support is not enough to ensure students' success, tutoring and mentoring are two of the most important services that the IEF provides our scholars.
The IEF Mentor Program allows us a consistent and profound level of interaction with our students with the goal of promoting their success in and out the classroom. Our mentor program eases the transition from high school to college and from college to the workforce by pairing students with mentors who have traveled the same road. The close relationships that our students form with their mentors assist them in developing their life skills and inspiring them to do well in their studies. Everyone needs a little extra support sometimes, regardless of who they are or where they come from. Our mentors offer this support by serving as role models for our students and helping them navigate this challenging and exciting time in their lives.

The IEF Tutor Program was designed to offer one-on-one academic assistance to students who need intensive review of coursework as well as to those students who need only a bit of reinforcement. Our tutoring component is mandatory for any student whose average in any course at mid-term falls below a "C", although all students are welcome to take advantage of our tutors' vast knowledge of their respective areas. We are always seeking tutors, especially those who can assist in the areas of Mathematics and Science.
